Sam Coffey And The Iron Lungs – Do Ya Feel It Too?
Sam Coffey And The Iron Lungs originate from Waterloo, Ontario, but they currently reside in Toronto. They have released two full length albums and several singles. The band mixes elements of Garage Rock, Punk and Country at times. The song played on today’s program “Do Ya Feel It Too?” comes from their second full length album Shin No Skin that was released in September 2012 and features strong catchy hooks complete with catchy background vocals. Currently the band is gearing up to release their third full length album to be titled The Gates Of Hell.
Night Beats – Satisfy Your Mind
Heavily laced with elements of reverb filled Garage Rock, Soul and Psych, Sonic Bloom is the second full length album released by Seattle’s Night Beats. The song featured on this week’s program “Satisfy Your Mind” echoes the sounds of The Zombies. The band's first full length self titled album was released in 2011 and featured shorter more frenzied songs, while Sonic Bloom expands their sound featuring more catchy hooks and melodies. Sonic Bloom was released via Austin Psych Fest’s label Reverberation Appreciation Society.
